Memorial Day Weekend Recap

I hope you all had a wonderful long weekend!  Ours was full of food and friends.  Here are a few photos from the weekend (fair warning: many are of handsome little Bo!).

For those of you who are curious, the recipes we used are from Rick Bayless’s website.  We made our own take on “Grilled Corn with a Twist,” a beautiful “Heirloom Tomato ‘Carpaccio’ with Tomatillo Salad, Avocado and Fresh Herbs,” and strawberry jalapeno limeade cocktails (with gin) using his “Fresh Limeade.”

I admire your restraint, being able to take the time to snap those photos before diving in to that lucious looking food and drink! And speaking of diving, Bo looks like he’s having a great time at the pool. What a sweet face! So did that food and drink taste as good as it looks?

Haha yes it was tough! But I made up for it afterward and gorged myself. It was even better than it looks :)

Bo absolutely had a great time at the pool… he was in and out all afternoon and then slept like a baby that night! Such a cutie!
